Alpine Camp

The Alpine Camp

Review by Gary Hill

I really wish I had more music to hear with this set. The whole roots music thing of Mumford and Sons and the like is here, but there is a lot more going on, too. The Grateful Dead, bluesy rock, country, folk and more all are heard here. This is great stuff, really.

Regrets of a Cosmic Mountaineer

I love the energy level here. There are definitely things about this that remind me of the Grateful Dead. It’s got a roots rock vibe and calls to mind Mumford and Sons quite a bit, too. It’s entertaining and dynamic.

Seven Miles
Slower and rather bluesy, this is more of a real rocker. What it loses in energy, it gains in cool and class. It’s very much a classic rock tinged piece. That said, it still has all the country, folk and bluegrass of the first cut, as well.
