The Distances (digital single)

Review by Gary Hill

I reviewed a previous single from this act. I landed that one under progressive rock as I thought it was tied to the shoegaze movement. This one is going there, too, for much the same reason. Whatever you call this, it's a solid tune.

This review is available in book (paperback and hardcover) form in Music Street Journal: 2020  Volume 6. More information and purchase links can be found at: garyhillauthor.com/Music-Street-Journal-2020.

Track by Track Review
The Distances
Coming in mellow and atmospheric, this grows outward into a slow moving number with a lot of Americana in the mix. There is a dreamy, moody quality to the number. Yet, it's also very shoegaze oriented, particularly as it grows outward later.
