My Punk Rock Life: The Photography of Marla Watson written by Marla Watson

Review by Gary Hill

The "written by" in the title to this is a little deceiving. That's because this book doesn't include all that much text. It's all about the black and white photos that are stunning. They offer a great look at the punk scene of the 1980s,Among the bands included here are The Clash, Billy Idol, The Misfits, The Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, DOA. The Damned and Suicidal Tendencies. Those names are just a few that pop off the page for me. This book is full of photos of lots of punk legends. Now, this is not the kind of thing that's all that conducive to a text only review, so I'm also including one of our MSJ bonus videos to capture stuff that the review can't properly convey. This is just such a cool book. Let's leave it at that other than the video review.
