Robin Trower

Robin Trower In Concert With Sari Schorr Blu-Ray

Review by Gary Hill

This Blu-Ray release captures Robin Trower in a live performance. I'll bet you figured that out from the title, right? Sari Schorr sings on all but three songs in the show. Richard Watts (who also handles the bass) does the singing on those three tunes. I have to say that I prefer Schorr's singing. She really has such a great blues presence. The whole band put in a great performance, though. The stage setting and show are pretty straightforward and basic. That is a plus to me, really. It allows the power and magic of the music to show through. The video and audio quality are both great. In terms of bonus features we get an interview with Trower and one with Schorr along with a trailer for the set. If you've ever been a Robin Trower fan, I'd recommend checking this out. It's a strong performance and an excellent video recording of that performance.
