Black Stone Cherry

Thank You: Livin Live Birmingham UK October 30 DVD/CD Set

Review by Gary Hill

If you dig Black Stone Cherry, you should love this set. I’d actually go further and say that if you like great high energy rock, you should enjoy this, even if you’ve never heard Black Stone Cherry before. You just can’t really argue with their brand of hard rock. There isn’t much argument about this set either. The concert video is great. There is also a CD of much of the concert. That brings up the one issue I do have. Some of the songs are only on the DVD and not the CD. It would have been better if they had included two CDs to get all the music in audio only form. Still, with the quality of this concert and the video, it’s only a small quibble. After all, the CD is basically a bonus. This is a pretty classy set, really.
