Brian Eno
1971-1977: The Man Who Fell To Earth DVD
Review by Gary Hill
The thing about unauthorized documentaries is that they lack access to music and real insider interviews. That said, many people who worked with Eno were interviewed here. It seems likely (as with most unauthorized documentary) most hardcore fans will already know everything in this film. That said, they’ll probably still want it. Those who know Brian Eno more as a name than anything else will learn a lot here. It’s an intriguing and educational video. It may not be exhaustive or exceptional, but it’s quite good nonetheless. One plus is that by focusing on a small period of time, the look inside can be more detailed.
