Judas Priest
Electric Eye DVD
Review by Gary Hill
I can’t recommend this DVD enough for long time fans of Judas Priest. First off, it starts off with all the videos from MTV. Now, mind you, they look pretty silly, except for the video for “Freewheel Burnin’,” but it’s cool to have them. There are a total of 13 music videos, dating from 1980 to 1990. Next up, is a 1986 concert video from the “Fuel For Life” tour. It should be mentioned that both the music video portion and the concert video were released separately on VHS way back when. Having them collected together here on DVD would make this set worth having. For the old time fans, though, the real thrill comes after that. The final things, never before released, are six BBC performances. For my money the coolest of them are “Rocka Rolla” and “Dreamer Deceiver/Deceiver” from the “Old Grey Whistle Test in 1975. You just can’t beat that. All in all, this is highly recommended to any Judas Priest fans. Those who have a less serious interest in the band might find it less compelling, but cool nonetheless.
