Julian Talamantez Brolaski It's Okay Honey Review by Gary Hill
There is a definite DIY kind of vibe here a lot of the time. The music on this is often aligned with country music. In fact, that element is pretty much always present to some degree. It does lean toward things like folk music, rock and more at various points, though. This does earn some parental advisories at times.

Track by Track Review
Racin the Train There is a cool downhome country energy and vibe here. It’s old-school in nature, but the lyrics get a definite parental advisory. This even includes some yodeling
Sittin in the Space
This still has healthy helpings of country in the mix, but it’s actually more folk music based than anything else. There is a rock vibe at play, too.
Gourd Flower
Here we get another old-time country based number. It’s got a musical nod to a classic Christmas tune along the ride.
No More Lonesome Heartache
Country and folk rock music with some definite gospel angles is the idea here. The lyrics on this definitely have some serious parental guidance warnings for one line in particular that is really raunchy. Yet, musically this is all old-school traditional. It has some killer instrumental work at play.
Just Like a Man
Slow moving, country ballad concepts are in the driver’s seat here.
Goin to Nashville
Downhome country is in the mix here, too.
Covid-19 Blues
This a blues tune with some yodeling like vocals in it at times. I really love the guitar on this thing.
Buddy
Rockabilly is the idea here with a strong emphasis on the hillbilly side of the equation. This is fun stuff.
It's Okay Honey
Slow moving, downhome and classy, I like this tune quite a bit. It’s more of a country ballad, and it’s entertaining. It has some great pedal steel guitar work.
Joyin in Joy
I dig the bouncy sort of downhome country meets folk groove on this piece. It’s another fun one.
Goodbye Brother
Energetic downhome rocking melodic country is the order of business here. This is a fun one that’s one of my favorites here.
When I Go With You
Intricate acoustic guitar gets things underway here. This is sort of alternative folk styled piece.
