The Sweater Set Fly On The Wall Review by Gary Hill If you like folk music with great female harmonies (and who doesn't, really?), this set should be for you. There is quite a wide range and mix of sounds on this disc. As far as the vocals, I suppose a comparison could be made to the Indigo Girls, but I'd say that I like the voices of this duo more than that. Also, the folk music on this tends toward mellower, more traditional sounds than one expects from the Indigo Girls. This is an entertaining and rich album. Track by Track Review

Dawn Chorus I like the intricate acoustic guitar introduction to this piece. It shifts to more of a folk music concept as it gets into the song proper. The vocals come over with a smooth and gentle vibe. Flute later lends a different angle to the piece. This gets a bit more intense later, but eventually settle back down on intricate acoustic guitar to end.

American There is a quite bit of acoustic guitar that serves as the introduction. It works from there to a folk-meets-country approach with a great harmony layered vocal arrangement.

In Another Life I love the vocal arrangement on this track. It's another with a great folk song structure. there is some definite Americana here.

Being Alone Folk music and unusual art sounds are merged on this piece.

Hostage More pure folk based, the vocal arrangement really makes this a winner.

Change Energetic folk music is on the menu here. This is another strong song.

Start Again This isn't a huge change, but it is quite effective.

Sucker There is some contrast here. Parts of this are built on some of the mellowest folk music of the disc. That said, there is some powered up electric guitar rocking later, too.

Mother Warned The flute is back on this number. This is one of the strongest pieces here. It's pretty, poignant and powerful.

In Search of A Crowd No molds were broken here, but this is a strong tune that makes for a great closing statement. It actually feels like a statement of mission, really.
