It was quite a feat that the US prog legends were at the festival at all because of the notable absence of Nick D’Virgilio. So Ted Leonard from Enchant was drafted in on vocal duty along with tour drummer Jimmy Keegan with both of them excelling themselves helping to create one of the most distinctive sounds in prog.

The band oozed class as “The Doorway” and “The Emperor’s Clothes” from X made up the bulk of their set with Ryo Okumoto particularly outstanding on keyboards.  There had been rumors of a possible re-union with Neal Morse having graced the prog stage on the previous day with his new band. He suddenly emerged at the end of “The Light,” sending the audience into raptures as he joined brother Alan and bassist Dave Meros.  They rounded off with an extraordinary uplifting rendition of “June” which drew one of the biggest cheers of the afternoon.
