Van Morrison

Another Glorious Decade DVD

Review by Gary Hill

The trouble with these unauthorized documentaries is that they are not allowed to use music from the artist and generally any of the materials included are essentially archival interviews and clips. That said, these Under Review documentaries include some definite scholarly explorations of the music of the period. That makes these very interesting for musicians and hard core fans. This does include some short performance clips, but you really wouldn’t want to buy it on the strength of that as they are too short, and there are too few of them. Still, this definitely has an audience for whom it comes highly recommended.
