Al Di Meola

Morocco Fantasia DVD

Review by Gary Hill

Al Di Meola is, without question, one of the greatest living guitarists. This concert catches him in concert in 2009. You just can’t go wrong with Di Meola, although different periods of his career represent different styles of music. Combining jazz with world music is the theme here. The performance is great. Both the video and audio quality are worthwhile and overall this is a highly recommended disc. Personally, I think Di Meola is one of those guys who everyone should here at least once in his or her life. Of course, once a person here’s him, it’s not likely to be the last time. The listener will be hooked.
