Radiohead

Arms & Legs: The Story So Far DVD

Review by Gary Hill

First off, it’s likely that Radiohead completists will want this in their collection. The problem is, they probably already have it. This two DVD set is a repackaging of Radiohead: OK Computer - A Classic Album Under Review and Radiohead - Homework - Unauthorized Documentary in one set. That also means both of these are unauthorized documentaries, so they are limited in terms of in-depth content. In addition, since these are re-releases, the subtitle is kind of inappropriate because this hasn’t been updated. All that said, those looking to get immersed in Radiohead’s history without a lot of knowledge, will be educated here. Perhaps the most likely audience is those completists. For the rest of us, this serves as a good introduction, but it probably isn’t all that exciting for the hardcore fan.

This review is available in book format (hardcover and paperback) in Music Street Journal: 2011  Volume 4 at lulu.com/strangesound.
