Kenny G

An Evening of Rhythm and Romance DVD

Review by Gary Hill

I know, Kenny G is right up there with Yanni and John Tesh in terms of the coolness factor for a lot of music fans. I have to say, I think in every one of those instances that the label is just not earned. All three of those artists are good musicians and produce some good tunes – even if it might not be in a musical genre that’s considered all that vital or cutting edge.

Well, with that out of the way, what can I say about this DVD? Well, if you like Kenny G’s music, you will love this. The concert is captured in great video and audio recording – and it’s an excellent concert. The music is great and overall this is just a very entertaining experience. I don’t expect to win over any of the “Kenny G is not cool" people. But really, it’s their loss. This is a great release.
