Lord Sonny the Unifier

(All My Friends Live) Underground (digital single)

Review by Gary Hill

I like this artist quite a bit. His sound is always modern, but rooted in older musical styles. To me this number has plenty of classic rock styled textures to it. It is compelling and classy. It's a fine addition to his catalog.

I love the classy retro rocking sound that opens this tune. For some reason this makes me think of Blue Oyster Cult to some degree. There are elements of things like space rock, soul and space rock in the mix. This number has a mainstream meets slightly warped vibe to it. It also has a meaty guitar solo.
