Lazro and Travis Gibb ft. Kyra B

Take Me Home (digital single)

Review by Gary Hill

I should hate this song. I don't like the whole producer instead of musician concept at all. I also don't like vocals that are too processed (and these sort of skate that border). So, this song should be precisely the kind of thing I despise about a lot of modern music. The fact is, though, this is very catchy and solid. Let that be a lesson. There is good music in all styles. I am one of the hardest sells on this kind of stuff. The fact that I like this a lot really showcases the amount of talent here. I suppose when you have someone from the Gibb family (Travis is the son of Barry Gibb), quality is something you should expect.

Take Me Home
There are some infectious melodic elements here. The energy level is good, too. The rhythmic groove really grabs the listener. While the vocals are at times a bit over-processed (and even then it's a matter of degrees), they manage to shine and be heard beyond that.
