Where Were You? (Digital Single)

Review by Gary Hill

This new single is apparently inspired by the Charlottesville violence between white supremacist groups and protesters.  While I'm sure some will argue with landing this review under progressive rock, it's clearly space rock to my ears. We generally consider space rock to be a subset of prog.

This review is available in book format (hardcover and paperback) in Music Street Journal: 2017  Volume 6 at  garyhillauthor.com/Music-Street-Journal-2017.

Track by Track Review
Where Were You?
The rhythm section brings this into being. As bit of guitar sound join it definitely makes me think of Hawkwind in some ways. There is a punky edge to this cut along with plenty of electronic sound and space music. This is a somewhat catchy and very potent piece of music. It is particularly effective.
