FireHouse

Bring 'Em Out Live

Review by Brian Angotti

Since scorching up the charts up with hits like "Love Of A Lifetime" and "Don't Treat Me Bad", Firehouse have finally put on tape what they do best; and that is play live. Bring 'em Out "LIVE" is a collection of the band's greatest hits captured live. This is a collection that is raw and real. It gives you the feeling that you are in the front row singing right along. With the recent departure of bassist Perry Richardson this album puts to rest an era for the band, but not to worry there is still fuel in Firehouse. With no plans to slow down, a new album coming soon and tour after tour; you will have plenty of time to catch Firehouse at their finest live.

This review is available in book format (hardcover and paperback) in Music Street Journal: The Early Years Volume 3 at garyhillauthor.com/Music-Street-Journal-The-Early-Years.

Track by Track Review
Overnight Sensation
A hard rocker with pulsating drums and heavy bass riffs, this is one of the heavier songs the band has done.
All She Wrote
This track is the perfect break up song.
Lover's Lane
"Lover's Lane" is another rocker in the Firehouse tradition.
Hold Your Fire
A very groovy track, this one has an awesome guitar riff that will leave it stuck in your head all day.
Dream
"Dream" is from the band's Category Five album. It is one of the best written songs on the disc and shows just what this band has to offer.
When I Look Into Your Eyes
This tune is a slow ballad with lyrics that speak from the heart.
Acid Rain
This is another track from the Category Five album. I love this song. It has a great beat, and the lyrics speak about today. In case you can't tell, I am huge Category Five fan.
Bringin' Me Down
Yet another awesome track from Category Five, this cut (as all the rest) sounds just as good live.
Don't Walk Away
This is one of my favorite songs from the band.
Love Of A Lifetime
Probably the bands biggest hit, this is performed live and flawless.
Reach For The Sky
This number starts off slow but then kicks in just when you think it can't. This rocker has some really neat lyrics and music.
I Live My Life For You
This song is a ballad that is sure to be played at a lot of weddings.
Here For You
One of my favorite Firehouse songs, this is from their under-appreciated 3 album. There are some great lyrics on this acoustic rocker.
Don't Treat Me Bad
The band's biggest rocker, this number goes over well live. It is loud and raw for all you Firehouse fans.
