Big Country

Live at the Town and Country Club London DVD

Review by Gary Hill

Well, this is certainly a no-frills release. It’s almost the equivalent of a VHS tape. I say that because we don’t get a DVD menu and there are no extras here. It’s just a nine-track concert. It’s a great show, though. The video and audio are both quite good. What I mean by that is, it was a professionally shot video, but this was 1990. That means it’s not up to modern     quality. This would be a good introduction to the live Big Country. I’m sure hardcore fans would love to have this, too. It would have been nice to have something a bit more here, but considering as good as the show is, it’s not completely necessary.
