John Mellencamp

It’s About You BluRay

Review by Gary Hill

I like this a lot. Basically John Mellencamp had a father and son team film his tour on super 8 film. These two guys had never made a film before and the result is amazing. It’s so much more than a documentary or a concert film, but it’s also got elements of both. This really reminds me of the old features they used to do on bands in the 1970s – those big features films. Mellencamp is a very genuine man and musician and this seems to be the best way to present that. It’s artsy, but also down to Earth. It’s a very entertaining film to watch. I highly recommend this one.
