Malevolent Creation

Death from Down Under DVD

Review by Gary Hill

In the interest of full-disclosure, and this statement should be of no huge surprise to MSJ readers, I’m not a big fan of death metal. I enjoy the music, but the vocals leave me bewildered. So, it should be no shock that this collection was a bit difficult for me to make it through. That said, if you like this particular brand of music, you should find this band and concert to be very good. Interestingly this doesn’t look like it was shot in the dark. That’s certainly not the rule for extreme metal concert videos. A number of interesting bonus features add to the value of this release. All in all, if this type of music is your cup of tea, this set comes highly recommended.
