Punk’s Not Dead DVD

Review by Gary Hill

This is quite an interesting documentary. It shows the history of punk rock from its beginnings through rare footage and interviews with many of the bands involved. You can tell that the people involved here really love punk rock. That type of passion makes this a stronger release. Fans of punk will definitely want to pick this up for all the great clips. Those who aren’t full immersed in the scene will learn a lot about the history of punk. It definitely focuses most heavily on the lesser known bands, but certainly the big bands are well documented elsewhere. This is a cool documentary.
