Greatest Video Hits DVD

Review by Gary Hill

Originally released on VHS, this collection was put out on DVD in 2005. This video is a collection of videos (many of which have not often been seen) interspersed with interview clips from band members (recorded during the Union tour). Of particular interest are the videos for “Wonderous Stories,” “Don't Kill The Whale,” “Madrigal,” “Tempus Fugit,” “It Can Happen,” “Hold On,” (a live one) “Leave It” and “Love Will Find A Way.” While this also includes the video for “Owner of a Lonely Heart,” I'd have to say that it is one that was very overplayed in the MTV years, so not as noteworthy. They also include a live performance of “All Good People,” but this is taken from the 9012Live video, and not such a great addition for that reason. I'd say Yes completists like myself will definitely want this one (probably already have it). Other fans would definitely be well advised to pick it up if for no other reason to get the Tormato and Drama material. It's a cool video, really and Rick Wakeman's sense of humor in the interview clips adds to the entertainment value.
