It was always going to be difficult to separate this release from a Thin Lizzy release.  

I have been a Thin Lizzy fan since the late 70s and unfortunately, I was too young to ever catch the original version live.

A few years ago, Scott Gorham, Brian Downey, and Darren Wharton were joined by a few other players and toured as Thin Lizzy.  

This has been the third time I have seen Black Star Riders over the years, and each time I see them, they seem to get better.
