Clark Colborn

Live in Loves Park, Illinois, June 2012

Review by Diane Hill

It was a hot and humid night but as soon as Clark Colborn started playing I got a cold chill and forgot all about the heat. Colborn’s searing guitar playing has the ability to transcend everything around me
He’s added bass player Sam Lalk, who is completely brilliant. The equally amazing Joel Baer (drums) fills out the lineup. The show was so awesome and the band played as if they’ve been playing together for years.  The medley at the end was brilliant! It was fun trying to guess all of the songs that brought back such wonderful memories.  The song “Lie To Me” is over six minutes in length, but long seemed to last only about two minutes. His voice was so smooth and I found myself wanting more. Colborn was also very engaging with the audience. He was a complete professional while still being fun and entertaining.
