Magic Pie

I really enjoyed their studio albums, but wondered if they could pull it off in real-time. As it turns out, they were probably the best band of the entire weekend. Their performance reminded me a lot of Orphan Project who performed in the festival's maiden year. They were flawless and their harmonies were impressive. I questioned why they needed four guitars. When the fourth member sang, enhancing the harmonies and offering his own solo bits, it became apparent his presence was necessary even if his guitar got little use. The crowd gave a collective groan when they were told their last song would be their encore. In a nutshell, their performance was as bright as a supernova. There was lots of chatter in relation to this band following their show, all of it optimistic. Many of their shirts were in circulation soon after as everyone wanted to get on the band's wagon.
