Lord Sonny the Unifier The Starman (digital single) Review by Gary Hill This is a brand new single from Lord Sonny the Unifier. I previously reviewed the whole album, so the song review will be drawn from that for the sake of consistency. That said, there is a new music video for this cut, too. Lord Sonny the Unifier's music really leans back toward the golden age of classic rock. In much the same way the video reminds the viewer of the golden age of music videos and the days when MTV played them all the time. If you are missing the music (and videos) of old. This is for you. Track by Track Review

The Starman This is a cool rocker that has a lot of glam texture built into it. I like all the textures over the top of the arrangement, but the whole tune just works well. Even if you were to strip all those extras out of it, you'd still have a cool tune. This leans toward space rock in some of the later music. There is some funky bass further down the road, too. Of course, this seems to be a tribute to David Bowie in a lot of ways. It really gets quite proggy at times.
